This position involves fast path/data plane/user plane software feature enhancements for Samsung’s 4G/5G network elements. The candidate is expected to be involved in feature development, testing, and bug fixing for 4G/5G network elements.
Design & development of fast path/data plane/user plane software for 4G/5G systems
Work on DPDK and Vector Packet Processing (VPP), Cloud Native Network Function (CNF)
Analyze new requirements from operators, perform impact analysis, and work on the design, implementation, and testing of features
Analyze field issues or issues reported by the test team and fix them as needed
Must have very good C programming skills
Must have at least 5+ years of prior experience working with fast path applications
Must have worked on 4G/5G Core Networks (PGW/SGW, UPF) fast path feature development, starting from requirement understanding through customer support after release
Knowledge of TAC3 experience (live network maintenance, debugging, etc.) is required
Must have experience working on L2/L3 forwarding
Knowledge of Intel DPDK is required. Knowledge of VPP and Cavium processors is a plus
Good understanding of Operating System concepts and x86 architecture
Good data structures and algorithms skills
Good understanding of networking domains and TCP/UDP/IP protocols
Good team player with curiosity to learn
BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech in CS/ECE/EEE
